A leadership transition is occurring at Aster DM Healthcare, as Kumar KV assumes the role of Group Chief Information Officer (CIO) from Veneeth Purushotaman, who served in this capacity for the past seven years.
In a LinkedIn post, Kumar shared his decision to transition after a decade at Narayana Health, where he spearheaded technology transformation initiatives, initially starting as a consultant with PwC. He referred to his tenure at Narayana as “a decade of growth and learning,” highlighting the opportunity to contribute to Dr. Devi Shetty’s vision and collaborate with skilled teams to transform the development, delivery, and adoption of healthcare solutions.
Purushotaman, reflecting on his “seven incredibly meaningful years” at Aster, noted his role in consolidating systems, enhancing cybersecurity, accelerating cloud adoption, and fostering a data-driven culture across India and the GCC region. He described his time at Aster as one of the most fulfilling periods of his career and attributed his achievements to the “people, leadership, purpose, and passion” that characterized his tenure.
Welcoming Kumar as his successor, Purushotaman emphasized Kumar’s extensive experience and enthusiasm in healthcare as key assets for leading Aster into its next phase of digital evolution. To ensure a smooth transition, Purushotaman will continue with the organization for several months in the role of Vice President – Technology (Transition Office).
