Rupee strengthens to 86.46 against dollar in early market rise

A rupia valorizou 14 paise para 86,46 contra o dólar dos EUA na negociação da manhã de segunda-feira, seguindo uma tendência positiva nas bolsas de valores domésticas e nas moedas asiáticas.

Os traders de forex afirmaram que fatores como o nível elevado do Índice do Dólar, bem como o aumento dos preços do petróleo, representam significativas dificuldades para o par USD/INR.

No mercado de câmbio interbancário, a rupia abriu em 86,48 e alcançou 86,46 contra o dólar, registrando um ganho de 14 paise em relação ao seu fechamento anterior.

Na sexta-feira, a rupia havia se estabelecido em 86,60 contra o dólar dos EUA.

Enquanto isso, o índice do dólar, que mede a força do dólar contra uma cesta de seis moedas, estava sendo negociado em baixa de 0,22 por cento, a 109,10.

O petróleo Brent, referência global de petróleo, caiu 0,12 por cento para US$ 80,69 por barril.

A força geral da moeda americana e os preços elevados do petróleo estão propensos a pressionar o saldo comercial da Índia, criando desafios para a valorização sustentada da rupia, disseram os traders de forex.

Com as moedas asiáticas em alta, a rupia indiana abriu em uma nota positiva contra o dólar dos EUA e espera-se que negocie dentro de uma faixa de 86,40/70 para o dia, podendo se tornar volátil à medida que o dia avança, disse Anil Kumar Bhansali, chefe do Tesouro e Diretor Executivo da Finrex Treasury Advisors LLP.

“As quedas ainda são complicadas para os importadores, pois esperamos que a rupia se desvalorize em ₹1,50 para 88,00 até março para levar a taxa de câmbio efetiva real (REER) para níveis de 105”, acrescentou Bhansali.

No mercado acionário doméstico, o índice Sensex subiu 398,21 pontos para 77.017,54 no início da negociação; o Nifty estava em alta de 105,15 pontos, para 23.308,35.

Os Investidores Institucionais Estrangeiros (IIEs) permaneceram vendedores líquidos nos mercados de capitais na sexta-feira, ao venderem ações no valor de ₹3.318,06 crore, de acordo com dados de bolsa.

As reservas cambiais da Índia diminuíram em US$ 8,714 bilhões para US$ 625,871 bilhões na semana encerrada em 10 de janeiro, disse o RBI na sexta-feira.

Anteriormente, o montante total havia caído US$ 5,693 bilhões para US$ 634,585 bilhões na semana encerrada em 3 de janeiro, informou o Banco de Reserva da Índia.
