In the latest ICC Test rankings, Joe Root maintains his position at the top after a stellar performance against Pakistan in Multan. Root achieved a career-best rating of 932, following his impressive innings of 262 in the first Test. His teammate Harry Brook also excelled, moving up 11 places to joint-second with Kiwi star Kane Williamson, both on 829 points.

The updated rankings also saw some shuffling, with Yasahsvi Jaiswak dropping one spot to fourth, alongside Steve Smith, Usman Khawaja, Virat Kohli, Marnus Labuschagne, Rishabh Pant, and Daryl Mitchell rounding up the top ten.
