As the mentor and coach of the Soorma Hockey Club in Punjab and Haryana, Rani, a former Indian captain, is eager to pass on her wealth of experience to the next generation of players.
With over 250 international games under her belt, the 29-year-old forward has earned the title of ‘Queen of Indian Hockey’ and is now ready to embark on this new chapter in her career. In a one-on-one interview with India TV’s sports editor, Samip Rajguru, Rani expressed her eagerness to support and guide young Indian players in their development.
“This new role presents a challenge for me, but one that I am excited to take on as I have always been keen on exploring different aspects of the game beyond being a player,” said Rani Rampal. “I am committed to giving my all in this mentorship role and sharing my knowledge and experience to benefit the young players.”

With only four teams currently in the league, Rani expressed hope for more teams in future editions, providing more opportunities for young Indian girls to showcase their skills.
