Tanya Puri, a private detective based in New Delhi, has made significant strides in her career by solving numerous cases. One particularly notable instance involved a popular Bollywood actor’s wife who approached her to investigate her husband’s fidelity.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Puri revealed that this prominent star, a father of two, faced allegations of multiple relationships with younger actresses. The actor’s wife, concerned about her husband’s conduct, took the step of hiring Puri to uncover the truth.
Puri discussed the prevalence of extramarital affairs within the film industry, stating, “I think there are lots of extramarital cases in Bollywood, but people don’t talk about it. They want to show a perfect image.” She elaborated on a specific couple, married since the early 2000s, where the husband was known to engage in infidelities with younger actresses. “In their relationship, the husband very openly cheats, and he is involved with much young actresses,” she noted, highlighting the contrast between their public personas and private behaviors.
Despite the wife’s awareness of her husband’s affairs, Puri indicated that intervention only became a consideration when their children became involved. “His wife also knows about this, and even their children know about it. He has two grown children in the industry. The kids are very well aware of what their father does, but in front of the cameras, they are a perfect couple,” she explained. Puri described the couple’s public image as polished, with the wife being well-educated and the husband embodying a traditional Indian persona. However, behind the scenes, the reality was quite different, as the actor had been unfaithful to numerous women.
Regarding the investigation process, Puri shared that the case was referred to her by a manager close to the couple. The actor’s wife granted the manager permission to initiate contact with Puri. The investigation revealed that the actor had multiple engagements and frequently provided favors to actresses in exchange for their companionship.
