Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the BJP’s victory in the Delhi Assembly elections as a “historic” milestone, stating that the citizens of the national capital have decisively rejected the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and embraced what he called a double-engine government for accelerated development.

Modi remarked that the people of Delhi are celebrating the BJP’s success and experiencing relief from AAP’s governance, a sentiment he emphasized through the term “AAP-da” during his campaign against the party’s leadership.

In his speech from the BJP headquarters, he expressed gratitude to Delhi residents, saying, “Today, the people of Delhi are filled with enthusiasm and satisfaction. They have liberated the city from ‘AAP-da’. I thank all Delhiites for placing their trust in ‘Modi ki guarantee’.”

He added that this victory is not just another electoral win; rather, it signifies a pivotal shift, with citizens making it clear they reject political shortcuts and are the rightful owners of their city. “Delhi has become Aapda-mukt,” Modi declared.

Furthermore, he indicated that the BJP’s successful campaign marks an end to AAP’s long-standing dominance in the city, returning to power after more than 26 years. This victory is a significant setback for the party led by Arvind Kejriwal, whose leadership now faces serious challenges.
