The 10th edition of the Raisina Dialogue, organized by the Ministry of External Affairs in collaboration with the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), will kick off today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the event, with New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon delivering the keynote address.

Taking place in New Delhi from March 17 to 19, the Raisina Dialogue serves as India’s foremost conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics, focusing on critical global challenges. According to the ORF’s announcement, the Raisina Dialogue involves a multi-stakeholder approach, engaging a diverse array of institutions, organizations, and individuals committed to its foundational goals.

This year, the conference will welcome nearly 3,700 participants, including over 800 speakers and delegates from approximately 130 countries. The attendees will consist of serving and former heads of state, ministers, lawmakers, diplomats, policy makers, military leaders, executives from multinational companies, and respected intellectuals. The theme for this year’s event is “Kalachakra: People, Peace, Planet.”

Discussions during the Raisina Dialogue will revolve around six central themes:

  1. Politics Interrupted: Shifting Sands and Rising Tides
  2. Resolving the Green Trilemma: Who, Where, and How
  3. Digital Planet: Agents
  4. Agencies and Absences, Militant Mercantilism: Trade, Supply Chains, and the Exchange Rate Addiction
  5. The Tiger’s Tale: Rewriting Development with a New Pen
  6. Investing in Peace: Drivers, Institutions, and Leadership

Additionally, the Dialogue will feature the Raisina Ideas Pod in partnership with Firstpost, India’s leading international news platform. This segment will showcase specially curated ministerial sessions and discussions on significant global issues, examining topics ranging from Europe’s role in the Indo-Pacific strategic landscape to the African Union’s involvement in the G20.
