A man attempted suicide by setting himself ablaze near the Parliament building in New Delhi on Wednesday. Authorities reported that he was promptly taken to RML Hospital for medical treatment.

Following the incident, police cordoned off the area, and an investigation is currently underway. According to a police statement, the individual, identified as Jitendra from Bagpat in Uttar Pradesh, ignited himself at the roundabout near Rail Bhavan.

Local and railway police, along with some civilians, quickly extinguished the flames and rushed the man to the hospital. Preliminary assessments suggest that the incident may be connected to personal grievances in Bagpat, though further investigations are ongoing.
