New Delhi: Loveyapa has been voted the least impressive film of 2025 in an India TV audience poll, eclipsing other contenders such as Naadaniyan, The Bhootnii, Baaghi 4, and Housefull 5. The poll, conducted across India TV’s digital platforms, invited viewers to share their opinions on films that did not meet expectations this year.
While Loveyapa secured the most votes, Baaghi 4 and Naadaniyan closely followed, indicating a portion of the audience found these releases lacking in terms of narrative, performances, or overall impact.
Poll results often reflect audience sentiment at a specific time and are influenced by personal preferences. Audience reactions tend to shift, particularly when films become available on OTT platforms, where they may attract a different viewership.
Loveyapa features Junaid Khan, son of actor Aamir Khan, and Khushi Kapoor, daughter of producer Boney Kapoor and sibling to actress Janhvi Kapoor. It was released on February 7, coinciding with the Valentine’s Day season, but struggled at the box office.
The film garnered mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike, with India TV rating it 2.5 out of 5 stars. An excerpt from the review stated: “Overall, the film is average. While it presents an interesting plot involving exchanged cell phones, it fails to elevate this concept in the second half. Although it touches on the topic of deepfakes, it lacks depth and does not explore it sufficiently. The film is a one-time watch, but expectations for its climax and performances should be tempered.”
Loveyapa is currently streaming on JioHotstar.
