The shares of Kothari Industrial Corporation Ltd (KICL), based in Chennai, began trading on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Monday. The trading symbol assigned to KICL is “KOTIC,” as announced in a company statement.

KICL has been approved to trade under the “Permitted to Trade” category within the Capital Market Segment of the NSE. The company is primarily involved in various sectors including fertilisers, footwear, and drones.

Previously, KICL, a part of the DC Kothari group, underwent a management transition led by Rafiq Ahmed and was relisted on the Bombay Stock Exchange a couple of years ago. It is now also listed on the NSE.

On its first day of trading, KICL’s share price closed at ₹174.80, reflecting an increase of ₹3 or 1.75 percent.
