New Delhi: India A’s star batter Shreyas Iyer and Punjab Kings opener Priyansh Arya propelled their team to a record total against Australia A in the rescheduled one-day match at Green Park, Kanpur. Iyer scored an impressive 110 runs from 83 balls, while Arya contributed with a fiery 101 off 84 balls, helping India A accumulate 413 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

Originally slated for September 30, the match was postponed to October 1 due to rain. Upon winning the toss, Australian skipper Will Sutherland opted to field first. India A made a strong start, with five of the eight batters who batted scoring over fifty runs.

This landmark performance saw India A surpass their previous highest home total of 371/3 against South Africa A in Chennai in 2017, marking the first time they have posted a total exceeding 400 on home soil.

Additionally, this score stands as the highest ever recorded by any team against Australia A, surpassing Gloucestershire’s total of 344/7 set in 2019.
