India secured two more medals on the third day of the ISSF World Cup 2024 final in New Delhi on Thursday, adding to their total tally of four. Vivaan Kapoor clinched a silver in the men’s trap event, marking a significant milestone in his career. In the gold medal match, Vivaan scored 44 points, falling just short of China’s Ying Qi who hit 47. Vivaan’s impressive performance throughout the tournament earned him praise and boosted his confidence.

Reflecting on his achievement, Vivaan shared, “This is my first individual medal in the senior circuit, and it’s a major confidence booster for me. I always believe that I am on par with the top shooters, and that mindset helped me achieve success.” He credited his introduction to shooting to his father’s friend, who noticed his interest in the sport at a college reunion.

In another event, Anantjeet Singh Naruka secured a bronze in the men’s skeet event, adding another medal to India’s count. Naruka, a two-time Asian Games medalist, displayed his prowess by scoring 121 in the qualification round and 43 in the final, securing his first World medal.
