BENGALURU: The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) recently led a delegation of Indian space technology companies to the Space Meetings Veneto 2026, held in Venice, Italy. During the event, several Indian firms established partnerships with European counterparts.

Organized by Advanced Business Events in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency and Agenzia Spaziale Italiana, the meeting convened representatives from the global space industry, including companies, startups, policymakers, and technology providers.

The delegation comprised nine Indian companies: Astrogate Labs, Astrobase Space Technologies, VyomIC, Suhora, Kepler Aerospace, Hyspace Technologies, TakeMe2Space, Jarbits Pvt Ltd, and Dhruva Space. Significant agreements were made during the event, notably a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Karnataka-based Astrobase Space Technologies and Italy’s Impulso Space. This agreement aims to facilitate customer access and explore launch prospects through integrated mission management and service networks.

Additionally, Kepler Aerospace entered a framework agreement with Apogeo Space to enhance ground station as a service (GSaaS) infrastructure while bolstering satellite collaboration between India and Europe. The companies are also set to explore joint efforts in CubeSat systems, payload technologies, and mission operations. VyomIC announced a partnership aimed at developing navigation and resilient infrastructure technologies.

The delegation was led by PK Jain, director of the programme management and authorisation directorate at IN-SPACe. “India’s participation reflects the growing global confidence in the country’s space capabilities and private sector ecosystem,” Jain noted. He added, “More importantly, this year’s engagements translated into meaningful strategic partnerships between Indian and international space companies.”

According to IN-SPACe, this visit followed an Italian aerospace delegation’s trip to India in 2025, aligning with efforts to strengthen commercial space collaboration under the 2025–2029 India–Italy Joint Strategic Action Plan, which was announced during the G20 Summit in 2024.
