Aditi Rao Hydari: A Royal Background and an Impressive Career

Aditi Rao Hydari, a prominent figure in Bollywood, has captured audiences with her endearing performances. Last year, she married actor Siddharth, marking her second marriage. She was previously married to actor Satyadeep Mishra in 2007, who has since married designer Masaba Gupta. Hydari’s career and personal life frequently attract public interest, but there is more to her than meets the eye; she is, in fact, a real-life princess.

Royal Heritage

According to various media reports, Aditi Rao Hydari hails from the Hyderabad princely state. Her great-grandfather, Akbar Hydari, served as the Prime Minister of this princely state from 1869 until 1941. Additionally, her uncle was the former Governor of Assam. Aditi’s mother, Vidya Rao, is a noted Hindustani classical singer specializing in Thumri and Dadra.

Connection to Kiran Rao

A noteworthy aspect of Hydari’s life is her familial link to Kiran Rao, Aamir Khan’s ex-wife. Aditi’s great-grandfather, J. Rameshwar Rao, was Kiran’s maternal grandfather, making them cousins. Both have maintained their familial ties over the years.

Marital History

Aditi Rao Hydari’s initial marriage garnered significant media attention. She wed Satyadeep Mishra at the age of 21 and was divorced by 26. This early transition into married life was closely followed by the public.

Second Marriage

Following her divorce, Siddharth entered Aditi’s life, and the two eventually fell in love while collaborating on the 2021 Telugu film Maha Samudram. The couple married in 2024 after a lengthy period of dating.

Passion for Dance

Aditi has a deep love for Bharatnatyam, beginning her training in classical dance at the age of six. She later became a disciple of the esteemed Bharatnatyam maestro Leela Samson. This classical dance form sparked her interest in acting, which would define her professional journey.

Notable Roles

Aditi has appeared in various films, but her portrayals of royal characters have particularly endeared her to audiences. She received acclaim for her role as Mehrunissa in Padmaavat and Anarkali in the web series Taj-Divided By Blood, which featured notable actors such as Naseeruddin Shah. In her career, she has shared screen space with industry heavyweights, including Ranbir Kapoor in Rockstar, Ranveer Singh in Padmaavat, and Amitabh Bachchan in Wazir. She has also acted alongside Sanjay Dutt in Bhoomi, Akshay Kumar in Boss, and Abhishek Bachchan in Delhi 6.
