GRSE signs innovative MoU with Nagaland for state-of-the-art steel bridges.

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. (GRSE) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Public Works Department (Roads & Bridges) of Nagaland on March 19, 2025, to supply eight sets of double-lane modular steel bridges. This historic agreement represents GRSE’s first MoU with a northeastern state.

At 11:45 am today, the shares of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. (GRSE) were trading at ₹1,720.90, up by ₹79.55 or 4.85 per cent on the NSE.

The signing ceremony took place in Kohima, with DIG Subrato Ghosh, ICG (Retd.), Director (Personnel) of GRSE, Shri Swaraj Meru, Chief Engineer of PWD Nagaland, and GRSE’s General Manager (Bailey Bridges) Natarajan Partheepan in attendance.

GRSE, a Schedule ‘A’ Mini Ratna Category I company under the Ministry of Defence, has a track record of supplying modular bridges to various organizations and countries, including Bhutan, Nepal, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. The company has delivered over 5,800 modular bridges so far.

Apart from modular bridges, GRSE has also constructed more than 790 platforms, including 110 warships for the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, and other friendly foreign nations. Additionally, GRSE’s engineering division manufactures deck machinery, pre-fabricated portable steel bridges, and marine pumps.

The company’s commitment to innovation and excellence is evident in this groundbreaking MoU with Nagaland, showcasing its dedication to providing high-quality infrastructure solutions.
