ServiceNow has completed its acquisition of Moveworks. The transaction combines ServiceNow’s agentic AI and workflow automation capabilities with Moveworks’ AI assistant, enterprise search, and reasoning engine. Following the acquisition, these technologies will be integrated within the ServiceNow AI platform to support employee-facing interactions and workflow execution.

According to ServiceNow, the integration is intended to connect conversational interfaces with backend workflows, enabling tasks such as issue resolution and process initiation through AI-driven interactions. The combined platform is designed to support autonomous handling of requests within defined governance and security frameworks.

Moveworks’ technology focuses on front-end AI interactions, allowing users to search, request, and act across enterprise systems using natural language. Its integration with ServiceNow is expected to link these interfaces to existing workflows across functions including IT, HR, and customer support.

ServiceNow stated that agentic AI is currently used across its customer base to support automation and response handling. Internally, the company reports that AI agents resolve a majority of IT and customer support requests without human intervention, reducing resolution times.

Moveworks currently integrates with over 100 enterprise technologies and is used by organizations including Siemens, Toyota, and Unilever. The company reports approximately 5.5 million employee users and around 250 shared customers with ServiceNow. Most Moveworks customers have deployed the platform across their full employee base.

As part of the acquisition, Moveworks’ technical teams and AI specialists will join ServiceNow. The company indicated that this is expected to support further development of its AI platform and integration roadmap across enterprise workflows.
