A 60-year-old man has died, and seven others, including two children, were hospitalized after allegedly consuming a wild vegetable in Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir. The incident occurred in Mohra village, located approximately 40 kilometers from Rajouri town, as reported on Friday.

The deceased, Mohammad Hussain, passed away while receiving treatment. The sick individuals include Mohammad Imran, 8, and Ratish Ali, 6. They were initially admitted to the community health center in Kandi and were later transferred to the government medical college and hospital in Rajouri for further care.

Authorities indicated that, based on preliminary investigations, the situation appears to be a case of food poisoning. The exact cause is currently under investigation, according to official statements.
