Deadline Approaching: Register for IIT JAM 2025 by Oct 11!

IIT JAM 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has announced the closing date for applications for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2025 to be October 11, 2024. Candidates who have not yet applied for the IIT JAM 2025 can visit the official website at jam2025.iitd.ac.in to register for the exam.

Candidates are reminded that they have until November 18, 2024, to modify their preferred exam cities, test papers, category, or gender. It is important to note that candidates can only fill out one application form even if they plan to take two test papers. Submitting multiple applications will result in rejection.

The exam is scheduled to take place on February 2, 2025, and the results are expected to be announced tentatively on March 19, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who will be completing their qualifying degrees in 2025 are eligible to apply for the exam. There is no age restriction for applicants.

Exam Fee: All candidates must pay a fee of ₹1,800 for one paper and ₹2,500 for two test papers, except for Female/SC/ST/PwD candidates. Female/SC/ST/PwD candidates are required to pay ₹900 for one paper and ₹1250 for two papers.

Candidates should be aware that the application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. Additionally, a fee of ₹300 will be charged for any changes in exam cities/test papers/category and gender.

Exam Pattern: The IIT JAM 2025 exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) format, with questions displayed in a random sequence on a computer screen. The exam duration for all seven Test Papers will be 3 hours, with a total of 60 questions carrying 100 marks. The paper will be divided into three sections: A, B, and C.

  • Section A will consist of 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with 10 questions worth one mark each and 20 questions worth two marks each.
  • Section B will contain 10 Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), each carrying two marks.
  • Section C will include 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions with 10 questions worth one mark each and 10 questions worth two marks each.
