He seemed to question Chandrachud’s credibility and intentions in handling the Ayodhya temple dispute. However, in a later statement, Yadav denied making any derogatory comments and praised the Chief Justice for his reputation and character.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) reacted strongly to Yadav’s remarks, condemning his disrespectful attitude towards the judiciary. BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi called for strict action against Yadav, accusing him of showing a lack of faith in the country’s constitution and independent judiciary. Tripathi urged the Samajwadi Party to take disciplinary action against Yadav for his behavior.
