BimaKavach, a rapidly emerging business Insurtech in India, has announced the appointment of Pradeep Siddharthan as its Chief Technology & Product Officer (CTPO). This move aligns with the company’s strategy to enhance its focus on AI-driven underwriting and risk intelligence for commercial enterprises.
In his new capacity, Siddharthan will oversee product strategy and engineering, concentrating on developing the intelligence infrastructure that supports commercial insurance underwriting. His responsibilities will include steering the technology roadmap, utilizing AI and data to expedite risk assessment processes, and tailoring them to the needs of Indian businesses.
Siddharthan brings over 16 years of expertise in product, technology, and business leadership, having held significant roles at high-growth consumer internet firms and startups. His previous experiences include leadership positions at Myntra, Curefit, and A23, where he was instrumental in developing scalable systems and customer-centric products across marketplaces, payments, and supply chains.
Tejas Jain, Founder and CEO of BimaKavach, commented on Siddharthan’s appointment: “Business insurance in India is at an inflection point. The companies that will define the next decade are the ones building intelligence into the product, not just the process. We want to move faster, from identifying risks to creating products around them, simplifying underwriting and coverage decisions for businesses. Siddharthan’s strong combination of product insight and technological expertise will be crucial in shaping our future.”
Siddharthan stated, “The opportunity at BimaKavach is to make business insurance genuinely useful, not just accessible. Many businesses currently view insurance as a one-time purchase, revisiting it only during renewal or claims, despite the dynamic risks they face. I am excited about the chance to develop systems that assist businesses in understanding these risks better and making informed coverage decisions. With effective use of AI, data, and product design, I believe that insurance can become more proactive, intuitive, and relevant for modern Indian businesses.”
This appointment comes as BimaKavach continues to bolster its technology and underwriting abilities, aimed at simplifying commercial insurance for Indian MSMEs and emerging enterprises. The company is dedicated to building AI-enabled infrastructure that aids businesses in assessing, managing, and responding to operational and financial risks effectively.
The announcement was published on June 1, 2026.
