NEW DELHI: The Indian Army successfully halted an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the elimination of one terrorist. The engagement occurred around 4 PM, prompting an ongoing search operation.
According to the White Knight Corps, the troops detected suspicious movement approximately 300 meters within Indian territory in the Krishna Ghati Sector of Poonch. In response, the alert soldiers swiftly intervened, preventing any breach of the LoC.
“Acting on persistent surveillance, suspicious movement was detected approximately 300 metres inside own territory in the general area of Krishna Ghati Sector, Poonch, along the LoC at around 4 PM today. Alert troops of White Knight Corps swiftly responded and foiled the infiltration bid, ensuring no breach of the LoC. One intruder has been neutralised. Own troops continue to dominate the area and maintain a high state of operational readiness across the sector,” reported the White Knight Corps via their official social media channel.
The military continues to maintain vigilance and operational readiness in the area to counter any further threats.
