Aptech Limited and WOL3D announced a partnership to launch India’s first organized 3D printing and product design program, aimed at both creative and industrial applications. This curriculum will be offered through Aptech’s MAAC and Arena Animation training centers.

The program spans 60 hours and uses a hybrid model, featuring classroom instruction at Aptech centers alongside hands-on training at WOL3D’s experience facilities. It is designed as an add-on module for students in 3D animation and design courses, broadening their expertise to encompass manufacturing, product prototyping, healthcare, and architecture sectors.

Sandip Weling, Whole-time Director at Aptech Limited, stated that this collaboration addresses the growing need for employment-focused educational solutions in the industry. He added that the program has the potential to foster entrepreneurial endeavors in 3D printing among young professionals.

WOL3D Co-Founder and Director Rahul Chandalia highlighted that 3D printing has transitioned from merely a prototyping tool to a transformative technology across multiple industries. He indicated that the partnership seeks to satisfy the increasing demand for skilled professionals as India enhances its adoption of additive manufacturing.

Targeted industries for the program include aerospace, medical devices, industrial supply chains, and product design. This collaboration aligns with India’s implementation of its National Strategy for Additive Manufacturing, while the global 3D printing industry is expected to maintain double-digit growth across various sectors.

Aptech operates over 1,000 training centers worldwide, whereas WOL3D, based in Mumbai, distributes products from leading 3D printing manufacturers and runs India’s first 3D Printing Experience Centre.

On the stock market, Aptech Limited shares were trading at ₹119.41, rising by ₹0.20 or 0.17 percent on the NSE at 2:25 PM, while WOL3D India Limited shares were at ₹126.40, up by ₹0.40 or 0.32 percent.
