Star Indian opener Abhishek Sharma played a crucial role in India A’s dominant victory over UAE in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup on Monday. Chasing a modest target of 108, Abhishek’s explosive 58-run knock off just 20 balls set the tone for India A’s comfortable win. His innings was filled with five boundaries and an equal number of sixes, entertaining the crowd with his attacking strokes.

Leading the chase alongside Abhishek was captain Tilak Varma, who contributed with a valuable partnership of 72 runs for the second wicket. Despite losing a few quick wickets towards the end, Nehal Wadhera and Ayush Badoni guided India A to victory with ease. With this win, India A secured a spot in the semifinals of the tournament, topping Group B with a perfect record of two wins and an impressive net run rate of +2.460.

On the bowling front, UAE was restricted to a modest total of 108, with Rahul Chopra being the only batsman to offer some resistance with a fifty. The Indian bowlers put up a commendable performance, with Rasikh Dar leading the pack with three wickets to his name. Ramandeep Singh, Anshul Kamboj, Vaibhav Arora, Abhishek Sharma, and Nehal Wadehra chipped in with crucial wickets as well.

India A’s dominant performance has put them in a strong position in the tournament, with their sights set on clinching the title. Their clinical display with bat and ball against UAE reaffirms their status as a formidable team in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
