At least 24 individuals have lost their lives and over 50 others have been wounded in a bomb blast targeting a train transporting military personnel in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, Pakistan. The attack occurred on Sunday when the train was passing the Chaman Pattak signal, allegedly after an explosive-laden vehicle collided with one of its carriages. The explosion was powerful enough to overturn and ignite two train carriages, producing thick black smoke that rose into the sky. The blast also inflicted significant damage on the surrounding area, affecting nearby buildings and shattering more than a dozen parked vehicles. The Balochistan Liberation Army, a separatist group, has claimed responsibility for this attack.
