Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi Issues Stark Warning to Pakistan Over Terrorist Support

NEW DELHI: Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi issued a strong warning to Pakistan on Saturday, stating that if it continues to support terrorism and act against India, it must “decide whether they want to be part of geography or history.” His remarks were made during an interactive session hosted by Uniform Unveiled at the Manekshaw Centre, where he was asked about the Indian Army’s potential response to situations similar to those leading to Operation Sindoor.

“If you have heard me earlier, what I have said is that Pakistan, if it continues to harbour terrorists and operate against India, then they have to decide whether they want to be part of geography or history,” General Dwivedi emphasized.

The event, titled ‘Sena Samwad,’ occurred shortly after the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, during which the Indian armed forces executed precision strikes on various terror infrastructure targets located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

In response to the operations, Pakistan subsequently launched counter-offensives against India. All ensuing counter-offensives by India were also undertaken under the auspices of Operation Sindoor. This military engagement, involving two nuclear-armed nations, lasted approximately 88 hours, concluding on the evening of May 10 after both sides reached a mutual understanding.
