Blood Clot in Lungs Led to Prateek Yadav’s Death, Post-Mortem Report Confirms

The post-mortem report of Prateek Yadav, the son of the late Mulayam Singh Yadav and half-brother of Akhilesh Yadav, revealed that he died from a massive blood clot in the lungs, which resulted in cardiorespiratory collapse. The autopsy findings indicated that the provisional cause of death was “cardiorespiratory collapse due to massive pulmonary thromboembolism.” Medical professionals noted that a significant blood clot obstructed blood flow to the lungs, leading to heart and respiratory system failure. Yadav was found unconscious at his residence in Lucknow on Wednesday and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay canceled the appointment of his close aide and astrologer, Rickey Radhan Pandit Vettrivel, as Officer on Special Duty (Political) after facing backlash from opposition parties and allies, who argued that personal beliefs should not interfere with governance. The decision to revoke the appointment came shortly after a circular was issued, indicating that Vettrivel was initially assigned to assist the Chief Minister’s Office with political coordination and advisory functions.

Air India Suspends and Reduces Flights on 29 International Routes Due to Fuel Crisis

Air India announced the suspension and service reductions on 29 international routes from June to August 2026. This decision is attributed to the ongoing conflict in West Asia, soaring jet fuel prices, and airspace restrictions in critical regions. The airline stated that these temporary adjustments aim to enhance operational stability and minimize last-minute inconveniences for passengers, particularly in light of disruptions caused by the instability around the Strait of Hormuz.

Kejriwal Urges Gen Z to Demand Accountability over Alleged NEET Paper Leaks

AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal has called on India’s Gen Z students to seek accountability regarding the alleged NEET paper leak incident, asserting that repeated examination leaks have undermined student confidence in the educational system. During a press conference, the former Delhi Chief Minister encouraged young people to protest against those involved in such incidents and questioned the effectiveness of previous Central Bureau of Investigation reviews. Kejriwal posited that if the youth in countries like Bangladesh and Nepal could bring about governmental change, Indian youth could also ensure accountability in examination matters.
