Several former presidents of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), including Mullappally Ramachandran, MM Hassan, K Sudhakaran, VM Sudheeran, K Muraleedharan, A P Anilkumar, PC Vishnunath, and Shafi Parambil, have convened in New Delhi to consult with the party’s senior leadership regarding the selection of the next Chief Minister of Kerala.
This meeting aims to finalize key leadership decisions ahead of upcoming assembly elections. Participants involved include prominent figures such as Kerala’s Leader of Opposition V D Satheesan, Kerala Congress President Sunny Joseph, AICC in-charge Deepa Dasmunsi, General Secretary K C Venugopal, and senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala. The discussions follow a previous meeting at the residence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.
Political observers are closely watching this development, as the decision on the new Chief Minister could impact the dynamics of the United Democratic Front (UDF) in Kerala. As of now, key contenders for the position remain uncertain, and the party seeks clarity amidst ongoing political deliberations.
