Both teams are keen to deliver strong performances; Hyderabad remains in contention for the playoffs, while Mumbai seeks to improve its position.

Currently, Sunrisers Hyderabad holds fourth place in the standings with five victories and three losses across eight matches, totaling 10 points. A win could elevate them to 12 points. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Indians, champions five times, find themselves in ninth place with just two wins and five losses from seven matches, hoping to reverse their recent string of defeats.
