Army Promises Swift Response to Actions Against India on Pahalgam Anniversary

On the first anniversary of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists, the Indian Army has issued a strong warning to those involved in terrorism. In a statement released on social media platform X, the Army asserted that crossing “the boundaries of humanity” will elicit a “decisive” response. The message explicitly stated, “For acts against India, the response is assured. Justice will be served. Always.”

The post included an image related to Operation Mahadev, remarking on the operation with the tagline “It was only a matter of time.” Operation Mahadev was initiated in response to the Pahalgam attack, leading to the tracking and elimination of three terrorists associated with the incident. Union Home Minister Amit Shah confirmed that these individuals, identified as Suleman, Hamza Afghani, and Zibran, were killed during an encounter in the forested area of Lidwas, near Harwan on the outskirts of Srinagar.

Following an anti-Pakistan operation conducted in May, military leaders have reiterated that Operation Sindoor “still continues,” emphasizing that the country’s military preparedness remains at a “very high” level, maintained around the clock throughout the year.

Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi recently noted that the deployment of a carrier battle group in the northern Arabian Sea has had a significant effect on Pakistan’s naval maneuvers, keeping their forces near their ports. He stated, “It is not a hidden fact anymore that we were just minutes away from striking Pakistan from the sea when they requested a stoppage of kinetic actions,” in reference to the Navy’s involvement in Operation Sindoor.

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi praised Operation Sindoor as a prime example of “tri-service synergy under clear-cut political directive.” Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh also highlighted Operation Sindoor as a defining moment, showcasing the Indian Air Force’s precision, strength, and unified response to Pakistan’s “Napak” acts.
