Legendary singer Asha Bhosle passed away on April 12, 2026, at the age of 92 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. The Padma Vibhushan awardee had been admitted to the hospital after experiencing pulmonary issues, subsequently diagnosed with a chest infection, which led to her death the following day.
Tributes have been flowing in since her passing, with a particular video gaining viral attention. The footage features Asha Bhosle enjoying the 2023 World Cup final between India and Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, alongside Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
In the video, Khan is seen sitting between Asha Bhosle and BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, with Gauri Khan next to him.
