India Bat First After Suryakumar Yadav Wins Toss in 5th T20I vs New Zealand

India face New Zealand in their last match ahead of the start of the T20 World Cup 2026. With the series in the bag, India will want a couple of last boxes to be ticked before they head to the T20 World Cup defence. One among them is in the hope of Sanju Samson finally scoring a notable knock.

Samson’s bat has remained quiet in the series so far. Ever since replacing Shubman Gill at the top of the order, the wicketkeeper batter has scored 40 runs in four innings and will look for more runs in the final T20I, especially with Ishan Kishan breathing down his neck.
