Waaree Solar Americas Inc. has secured a 288-MWp solar module order from Sabancı Renewables for two utility-scale projects in Texas, the company announced Monday. The order, previously disclosed to stock exchanges on December 5, marks the first US deployment of Waaree’s 620-Wp bifacial solar modules.

The modules will be supplied to the Pepper Solar Project in Waco and the Lucky 7 Solar Project in Brashear, with deliveries beginning in the third quarter of 2026. The order represents a significant expansion for Waaree in the Texas solar market.

The modules feature 3.2-mm high-strength front glass designed to withstand severe hail and extreme weather conditions common in Texas. According to M Sunil Rathi, President of Waaree Solar Americas, the technology demonstrates the company’s capability to deliver solutions engineered for challenging climates as the US accelerates clean energy deployment.

Tolga Kaan Doğancıoğlu, CEO of Sabanci Climate Technologies, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to building climate-resilient renewable infrastructure aligned with its “Bridge to a Better Future” vision. Sabancı Renewables develops and operates utility-scale renewable projects across the US.

Waaree Solar Americas is the US subsidiary of Waaree Energies, which operates manufacturing facilities outside China and serves both domestic Indian markets and international renewable energy goals.

The shares of Waaree Energies ended on the NSE on Tuesday at ₹2,910, up ₹25.90 or 0.90 per cent.
