TVS Motor and BMW Motorrad Celebrate 200,000 Units Sold Together

The companies also confirmed the start of production for the new BMW F 450 GS at TVS Motor’s Hosur plant. The model was recently showcased at EICMA 2025.

KN Radhakrishnan, Director and CEO of TVS Motor Company, said the partnership has developed products now sold in over 100 markets globally, including Europe, the Americas, and Asia. The alliance has produced models including the BMW G 310 R, G 310 GS, and G 310 RR.

Markus Flasch, CEO of BMW Motorrad, described the sub-500cc models as having “unrivalled popularity worldwide” and called them a key pillar of BMW Motorrad’s global growth strategy.

The companies stated that they are investing in new platforms and technologies to meet customer needs in urban and premium mobility segments. The Indo-German collaboration spans over a decade of joint research and development efforts.

TVS Motor operates manufacturing facilities in India and Indonesia, while BMW Motorrad sold more than 210,000 motorcycles in 2024, achieving its strongest annual sales result. The partnership’s products are currently available in 80 countries.

The shares of TVS Motor Company Ltd were trading at ₹3,525 down ₹13.60 or 0.38 per cent on the NSE on Thursday at the closing bell.
