Axiscades Aerospace & Technologies Limited has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the French drone manufacturer Electronic Bird Control to launch the E-Raptor drone in the Indian market. This drone, inspired by falcons, is designed for both military and civilian uses.

The E-Raptor employs biomimetic engineering to mimic the appearance and flight patterns of birds of prey. According to Ravikumar Joghee, the Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer of AXISCADES, the company plans to localize production in India as part of the Make in India initiative.

The drone is intended for various applications, including surveillance and bird control operations, serving areas such as defense reconnaissance, airport safety, and wildlife management. Its design facilitates operation in diverse terrains, boasting enhanced stealth and agility.

Axiscades, a subsidiary of Axiscades Technologies Limited, specializes in defense technology and has established connections with India’s defense forces, the Ministry of Defence, and various defense public sector units. Based in Bangalore, the company employs over 3,000 professionals across 17 global locations.

Founded in 2019, Electronic Bird Control, located in Nimes, France, focuses on developing drones that replicate birds of prey. CEO Adrien Laffon stated that the partnership signifies a progression in drone technology and international collaboration.

This agreement aims to bolster India’s defense capabilities while also catering to civilian sector needs for surveillance and safety operations.

As of the latest trading session, shares of AXISCADES Aerospace & Technologies Limited were priced at ₹1,474.30, reflecting a decrease of ₹77.60 or 5%, hitting the lower price band.
