The transformers are manufactured at a dedicated facility featuring backward integration for quality control and a digital testing lab. The flagship model, a 17.6 MVA, 4X660V/33 kV, five-winding aluminium-wound IDT, has completed full type testing at CPRI. Copper-wound variants are also available.

Viren Doshi, Director at Waaree, said the launch reflects the company’s commitment to setting industry benchmarks in performance and reliability. The transformers are engineered to handle inverter switching frequencies and harmonic distortion, critical for efficient power evacuation from solar fields to the grid.

The manufacturing facility operates with air pressurised, dust-free workspaces and epoxy flooring. It uses vapor phase drying ovens for enhanced insulation and operational reliability.

Founded in 1990, Waaree Energies operates advanced manufacturing facilities with approximately 16.7 GW solar PV module capacity worldwide and up to 5.4 GW solar cell capacity. The Mumbai-headquartered company maintains operations across India and over 25 countries, offering solar panels, inverters, EPC services, green hydrogen solutions, battery energy storage systems and related infrastructure.

Shares of Waaree Energies Limited ended on the NSE today at ₹3,423 down by ₹9.20 or 0.27 per cent.
