In a disturbing incident that underscores widespread Islamophobia, a young girl delivered a speech filled with hate towards Muslims during a Bhagwat Katha in Kheda village, Agra district, Uttar Pradesh. The speaker, introduced as “Bal Vidushi Lakshmi,” called on Hindus to boycott Muslims, making unsubstantiated and inflammatory allegations that Muslims “mix spit and urine” in food to desecrate Hindu beliefs. She suggested that every village should erect boards declaring Muslims unwelcome.
Lakshmi’s remarks went further than advocating for an economic boycott; she labeled Muslims as “terrorists” and urged Hindus to “remain vigilant” against them. Her speech also mocked Muslim religious practices and included false claims linking Muslim-owned restaurants to deceptive practices involving Hindu symbols.
The event was organized by the Yogi Youth Brigade Dharma Raksha Trust, led by Uttar Pradesh president Kunwar Ajay Tomar. Reports indicate that the organization is planning a larger Sant Sammelan on Sunday, October 5, which is set to attract right-wing Hindu figures from across the country.
This incident has drawn criticism from rights advocates and community leaders, who are calling for accountability from the organizers for promoting hate speech and involving a minor in Islamophobic rhetoric.
