Dubai: Star India spinner Kuldeep Yadav is in exceptional form during the ongoing Asia Cup 2025. Under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian team remains unbeaten and is preparing to face Pakistan in the tournament final.

In their previous Super Four clash against Sri Lanka, India secured a thrilling victory that concluded in a super over. This win allowed the team to continue its flawless performance throughout the tournament. A standout aspect of India’s triumph was Kuldeep Yadav’s impressive bowling display.

In his four overs, Kuldeep allowed 31 runs and claimed one wicket, making him the highest wicket-taker in T20I Asia Cup history. Prior to this match, he was tied with Amjad Javed for the most wickets in the tournament, both with 12. Following his latest wicket, Kuldeep surged ahead to 13 wickets, taking sole possession of the top spot in the standings.

Suryakumar Yadav commented on the team’s performance against Sri Lanka.

India’s remarkable super-over victory came after both teams finished the regular innings with 202 runs. In the super over, India successfully chased down three runs to secure the win. Following the match, Captain Suryakumar Yadav addressed the media, emphasizing the team’s resilience. “It felt like a final. The boys showed a lot of character after the first half in the second innings. I told them to play this like a semi-final. Get everyone close in, have good energy and then let’s see what happens. Good to be on the winning side,” he remarked during the post-match presentation.
