Mehru Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Quality Power Electrical Equipments Ltd. (QPEEL), has entered into a partnership agreement with Hyosung T&D India Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Hyosung Heavy Industries Corporation in Korea, to co-develop gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) instrument transformers. This agreement marks a significant milestone, making Mehru one of the first Indian companies to collaborate on GIS instrument transformer technology for international markets.

In another development, Ayana Renewable Power Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private, has commenced partial operations of a 10 MW capacity at its 92.4 MW wind project located in Bhuj, Gujarat. This 9.9 MW segment is operated by Ayana Renewable Power Four Pvt Ltd, which is itself a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd.

On Wednesday, REC announced the transfer of its special purpose vehicle, Davanagere Power Transmission, to Power Grid Corporation of India. Power Grid emerged as the top bidder for the transmission service provider role through the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process conducted by REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd. This project will be developed on a Build, Own, Operate & Transfer (BOOT) basis.

Additionally, Highway Infrastructure Ltd has secured a contract for the management of the Chotiya Fee Plaza in Chhattisgarh, valued at ₹31.07 crore.

Finally, Waaree Energies has invested ₹300 crore in Waaree Energy Storage Solutions Pvt Ltd, a fully-owned subsidiary. The funds will be allocated toward establishing a manufacturing facility for Lithium Ion Advanced Chemistry Storage Cells through a rights issue.
