New Delhi: Rajesh Khanna, a revered figure in the Hindi film industry, remains celebrated for his exceptional acting skills. His personal life, particularly his relationships with actress Dimple Kapadia and Anita Advani, has also been a subject of public intrigue.
Recently, Anita Advani spoke candidly about her connection with the late actor during an interview with Meri Saheli. She claimed, “We got married privately, but no one in the film industry talks about it openly. People often refer to us as ‘friends’ or in a ‘relationship.’ The media was already aware of our association, so we did not see the need to publicly announce our marriage.”
Advani elaborated further, sharing, “We had a small temple in our house. I had a mangalsutra made of gold with black beads. He made me wear it, then applied sindoor and said, ‘From today, you are my responsibility.'”
Anita disclosed that her involvement with Rajesh Khanna predated his marriage to Dimple Kapadia, stating, “Yes, I came into his life before Dimple Kapadia. However, I did not marry him because I was very young at that time. Eventually, I went back to Jaipur.”
She also revealed that when she attempted to visit Rajesh Khanna one last time after his passing, she was denied entry, as bouncers prevented her from entering.
Rajesh Khanna passed away on July 18, 2012, in Mumbai due to a prolonged illness, at the age of 69.
