New Delhi: A film is considered a hit when it resonates with the audience upon its release, influenced by various factors such as storyline, acting, music, and direction. One notable Bollywood film that achieved blockbuster status and garnered numerous accolades is Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. Directed and co-written by Rakesh Roshan, the romantic drama achieved a Guinness World Record in the 2002 edition for winning a total of 92 awards.

Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai marked the debut of lead actors Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel. The film, made with a budget of ₹10 crore, collected ₹78.93 crore globally, confirming its commercial success, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk.

Awards and Recognition

The film holds a Guinness World Record for the highest number of awards won by a movie, totaling 92. Among its accolades, Rakesh Roshan won the Filmfare Award for Best Film, Hrithik Roshan secured Best Actor, and Rajesh Roshan was honored as Best Music Director. Additionally, Lucky Ali received the award for Best Playback Singer, while Ravi Kapoor and Honey Irani shared the award for Best Screenplay, among others.

Plot Overview

For those unfamiliar, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai follows the love story of Sonia and Rohit, who face tragedy when Rohit is mysteriously killed. To cope, Sonia, portrayed by Ameesha Patel, relocates to New Zealand, where she encounters Rohit’s doppelganger, ‘Raj’, played by Hrithik Roshan.

The film holds an IMDb rating of 6.9 and is currently available for streaming on the OTT platform Zee 5.

Actors’ Recent Work

Regarding their professional endeavors, Hrithik Roshan recently starred in War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, alongside Kiara Advani and Jr NTR. Meanwhile, Ameesha Patel was last seen in Tauba Tera Jalwa, featuring Ehsan Khan and Jahangir Khan in lead roles.
