New Delhi: Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, have recently been the subject of divorce rumors. Speculation regarding their separation had been circulating even prior to Govinda’s injury in an accidental firearms discharge.
On Wednesday, the couple was seen together during the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in 2025. Dressed in maroon traditional attire, they greeted the media and addressed the ongoing divorce rumors.
Sunita Ahuja stated, “If something had happened, then we would have been so close today. There would have been a distance between us. No one can separate us, not even if God comes from above. My Govinda is only mine and no one else’s. Until we open our mouths, please do not say anything on this,” effectively denying any claims of filing for divorce, as reported by ANI.
In previous statements, Govinda’s sister, his manager, and their daughter, Tina, have also dismissed rumors of a separation. However, Govinda’s manager informed Hindustan Times that while the couple had experienced a challenging phase, they have moved past it and remain together.
Govinda and Sunita have been married for 40 years, having tied the knot in 1987 when Govinda was 24 and Sunita was 18. In a recent interview, although Sunita did not address past claims, she expressed deep affection for her husband, asserting that no one could love Govinda more than she does. In her first vlog, she was seen visiting a temple, showcasing her love for Govinda.
