India’s premier javelin thrower, Neeraj Chopra, is set to compete in the final of the World Athletics Championship. He will face strong competitors including Arshad Nadeem, Julian Weber, and Anderson Peters. The javelin final is scheduled for September 18, starting at 3:53 PM IST. Chopra enters the competition as the defending champion and aims for a standout performance.

So far in 2025, Neeraj Chopra has demonstrated remarkable consistency, participating in seven events with four first-place finishes and three second-place finishes. His season kicked off at the Potch Invitational Meet in South Africa, where he secured first place with a throw of 84.52 meters. He then achieved three consecutive first-place finishes at the Paris Diamond League, Ostrava Golden Spike, and NC Classic. Additionally, he concluded the Diamond League Final 2025 with a second-place finish, throwing 85.01 meters.
