New Delhi: The trailer for Anurag Kashyap’s film Nishaanchi was released on Wednesday, marking the acting debut of Aaishvary Thackeray, the grandson of Balasaheb Thackeray. Alongside Thackeray, Monika Pawar and Vedita Pinto also star in prominent roles.
The film’s creators announced the trailer on social media, stating, “Till now I have seen only glimpses, now it’s time to see the full explosive trailer.”
The movie centers around twin brothers Bablu and Dabloo. Bablu exhibits a rogue and cunning personality, while Dabloo embodies simplicity. The trailer reveals Bablu’s romantic interest in a girl named Rinku and is set against the backdrop of a small town in Uttar Pradesh during the early 2000s. It showcases the interaction between Bablu, Rangeeli, Rinku, and Dabloo.
The Nishaanchi trailer features hallmark elements of Kashyap’s style, including numerous gunfire sequences.
Directed by Anurag Kashyap, Nishaanchi promises to be a quintessential masala entertainer. The trailer has generated excitement among viewers by blending action, drama, romance, and comedy. A key aspect of the film is Thackeray’s dual role, portraying the two twin brothers who, despite their similar appearances, lead distinctly different lives shaped by contrasting beliefs and lifestyles.
Nishaanchi is set to hit theaters on September 19. The screenplay is co-authored by Prasoon Mishra, Ranjan Chandel, and Anurag Kashyap, and the film is produced by Ajay Rai and Ranjan Singh under the banner of Jar Pictures, in collaboration with Flip Films.
