Sony Unveils Stunning RGB LED TV Set to Launch in 2026

We had the opportunity to see the fully built RGB prototype alongside Sony’s top-tier traditional mini-LED TV, the Bravia 9 (9/10, WIRED Recommends), and its flagship OLED for 2023, the A95L (9/10, WIRED Recommends). Once again, the results were quite impressive.

Although the prototype couldn’t achieve the same flawless black levels and precise contrast as the OLED model, it demonstrated remarkably effective blooming control and sharp image clarity. The colors appeared richer and more vibrant than both models, and its brightness surpassed even the Bravia 9, which is already one of the brightest TVs in its category. According to Sony, the display can reproduce 99 percent of the standard DCI-P3 color spectrum and 90 percent of the more advanced BT.2020 spectrum—both significant accomplishments. Equally intriguing is the display’s touted capability of maintaining color control at lower brightness levels, aimed at enhancing accuracy during dimly lit scenes.
