NTPC has successfully operationalized a 50 MW unit of the Shajapur solar project in Madhya Pradesh, bringing the group’s total installed and operational capacity to 77,461.50 MW, as per a filing with the BSE. “The commercial operation of the second and final part of the 105 MW Shajapur Solar Project (Unit-I) in Shajapur Solar Park, M.P of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has been declared,” stated NTPC in the filing.

In another development, Coromandel International Ltd has acquired a majority 53 percent stake in agrochemical firm NACL Industries Ltd (formerly Nagarjuna Agrichem Ltd) for Rs 820 crore. Additionally, Coromandel International will launch an open offer to purchase up to an additional 26 percent of equity in the company. The acquisition involves a share purchase agreement among Coromandel International, NACL Industries Ltd, the seller (KLR Products Ltd), K Lakshmi Raju (a promoter), and Bright Town Investment Advisor Pvt Ltd (a member of the promoter/promoter group).

Zynext Ventures USA LLC, the venture capital arm of Zydus Lifesciences, has announced an investment in Illexcor Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing next-generation oral therapies for sickle cell disease (SCD). The investment underscores Zynext Ventures’ commitment to supporting innovative healthcare solutions addressing significant unmet medical needs.

Jubilant Pharmova’s subsidiary, Jubilant Cadista Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA, has received the Establishment Inspection Report (EIR) with Voluntary Action Indicated (VAI) status from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for its solid oral formulations facility in Salisbury, Maryland, following an inspection in January 2025.

Carysil, a renowned manufacturer of Quartz Kitchen Sinks, has entered into an agreement with KARRAN INC., USA, to supply Quartz kitchen sinks for a major US home retail chain. The initial investment for this new tie-up involves allocating $5,10,000 (₹4.5 crore) towards moulds, machinery, and utilities to support a production capacity of 150,000 Quartz sinks annually starting May 2025.

Rattanindia Power has informed the exchanges that a single bench of the High Court of Delhi has dismissed a petition filed by the company against an interim award by an Arbitral Tribunal, which awarded ₹115 crore (plus 18 percent interest thereon) in favor of Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd.

BEL has signed a contract with the Defence Ministry worth ₹2,463 crore for the supply and services of Ashwini Radars. These fully indigenous AESA radars, developed jointly by DRDO and BEL, feature integrated IFF with electronic scanning in azimuth and elevation, enabling 4D surveillance. These mobile radars with advanced ECCM capabilities are deployable across all terrains and can automatically detect and track various aerial targets.

Infosys has expanded its strategic collaboration with Citizens, a financial institution in the US, leveraging Infosys’ expertise in financial services and technologies like AI, cloud, and automation. The collaboration aims to develop cloud-native domain platforms and achieve data center optimization.

BEML has signed two Memorandums of Understanding to enhance its presence in the rail and dredging sectors. The company has entered into a non-binding MoU with Siemens, India, to explore opportunities in the semi-high-speed and suburban passenger train segments, as well as metro and commuter rail markets.

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has granted an additional eight days to complete procedural formalities for the ownership transfer of debt-ridden Reliance Capital (RCAP) to IndusInd International Holdings (IIHL). The Mumbai branch of NCLT heard the matter, where a joint status update was provided by the committee of creditors, administrators, and IIHL on the implementation of the resolution plan.
