Garuda Construction wins ₹1.087B convention centre project in UP

Garuda Construction and Engineering Limited has recently secured a massive order worth ₹1,087.34 crore from the Gorakhpur Development Authority to construct an international convention center in Uttar Pradesh. This is the largest order in the company’s history, and it has doubled their order book to ₹2,830 crore. The project involves building a 24-lakh square feet convention center with a 5,000-seat capacity near Ramgadh Jheel Champadevi Park. The construction is expected to be completed within 30 months.

The shares of Garuda Construction and Engineering Limited have seen a significant increase, trading at ₹130.52, up by 6.23% on the NSE. The company is also currently working on other major projects, such as the Raptinagar Township & Sports City Development project worth ₹704.61 crore. In addition, they are involved in premium residential developments in Mumbai and a boutique hotel project in Bangalore.

Garuda Construction specializes in residential, commercial, infrastructure, and renewable energy projects, with a focus on turnkey EPC solutions. The company’s portfolio consists of public sector projects, which now make up two-thirds of their orders, with private sector projects making up the remaining third.

Overall, Garuda Construction and Engineering Limited’s latest order for the construction of an international convention center in Uttar Pradesh marks a significant milestone for the company and highlights their expertise in delivering large-scale projects efficiently.
