Industrialist Gautam Adani met with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday to announce a substantial investment plan by the Adani Group, totaling ₹65,000 crore, dedicated to energy and cement projects within the state, according to state officials.

The meeting took place at the Chief Minister’s official residence in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. During their discussion, Adani revealed plans to allocate ₹60,000 crore for the expansion of power generation facilities located in Raipur, Korba, and Raigarh. This initiative aims to increase the state’s overall power generation capacity by an impressive 6,120 MW.

In addition to the energy sector investment, Adani also pledged ₹5,000 crore towards the development and expansion of cement manufacturing operations within Chhattisgarh.

Following the Chief Minister’s recommendations, Adani committed to providing ₹10,000 crore over the next four years to bolster initiatives in education, healthcare, skill development, and tourism through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts and additional contributions from the Adani Group.

The meeting further explored opportunities for collaboration in the manufacturing of defence equipment and the establishment of data centres, as well as a Global Capability Centre in the state.
