Bajaj Auto Limited, a leading two-wheeler and commercial vehicle manufacturer, recently reported its sales performance for December 2024. The company experienced a slight decline of 1% in total sales compared to the same period last year, with total vehicle sales reaching 323,125 units. This decrease can be attributed to a significant drop of 19% in domestic two-wheeler sales, which stood at 128,335 units. However, this decline was offset by a strong performance in the export market, with two-wheeler exports growing by 15% to 143,838 units.

On the other hand, the commercial vehicle segment showed robust growth, with total sales increasing by 16% to 50,952 units. Export numbers in this segment saw an impressive jump of 50% to 16,867 units, while domestic sales also grew by 5%. This performance in the commercial vehicle segment contributed positively to the overall sales figures for the company.

For the April-December 2024 period, Bajaj Auto Limited reported an overall growth of 8% in total sales, reaching 3,548,032 units. This growth was driven by a 6% increase in domestic sales and a stronger performance in exports with a growth of 12%. The company’s performance in international markets has been particularly strong, showcasing its growing strength in the global arena.

Despite facing challenges in the domestic two-wheeler market, Bajaj Auto Limited continues to demonstrate resilience and growth in its overall sales performance. The company’s focus on expanding its presence in international markets and diversifying its product portfolio has contributed to its positive performance in recent months.

Overall, Bajaj Auto Limited’s mixed sales performance in December 2024 highlights the company’s ability to navigate market dynamics and capitalize on growth opportunities both domestically and internationally. As the company continues to innovate and expand its reach, it is well-positioned to maintain its leadership in the automotive industry and drive future growth.
