LTIMindtree Limited, a global technology consulting company, recently launched an Integrated Village Development Programme (IVDP) in Balarampur Block, West Bengal as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility efforts. This initiative aims to develop 16 aspirational blocks identified by Niti Aayog across India.

Partnering with EAGL Livelihood Foundation, LTIMindtree has implemented various development projects in Balarampur, focusing on education, health, and infrastructure improvements. Chief Sustainability Officer Paneesh Rao inaugurated several completed projects, including renovated Anganwadi centers and STEM labs in local high schools.

Key developments under the IVDP include the transformation of Anganwadi centers into model facilities, establishment of free coaching centers at local high schools, and renovation of several schools. Additionally, the program includes the creation of farm ponds to support irrigation for farmland in the region.

LTIMindtree, a Larsen & Toubro Group company with a global presence, chose Balarampur for the IVDP implementation due to the specific developmental requirements of the tribal population in the area.

In conclusion, LTIMindtree’s rural development initiative in West Bengal is a significant step towards holistic development in the region. Through partnerships and focused projects, the company aims to bring about positive changes in education, health, and infrastructure for the communities in Balarampur Block.
