Nokia has entered into a partnership with Ishan Technologies, an internet service provider, to offer high-speed broadband services across Gujarat and Maharashtra. This collaboration aims to enhance Ishan Technologies’ service delivery to both retail and enterprise customers by implementing advanced network solutions provided by Nokia.

As part of this initiative, Nokia will deploy its Altiplano Software-Defined Access Network (SDAN) solution, along with other essential components such as the Broadband Network Gateway (BNG), Data Centre Fabric, and IP/MPLS transport network solutions. These upgrades are designed to automate service initiation and provisioning, facilitate quicker rollout of new offerings, lower operational costs, and significantly improve customer experiences.

Dr. Keyur Jathal, Director and CMO of Ishan Technologies, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “By leveraging Nokia’s cutting-edge technology and expertise, we aim to lead the adoption of SDAN and set new standards for broadband connectivity in India. Our improved infrastructure will serve our 256,000 subscribers, introducing gigabit broadband services tailored for small and medium enterprises, as well as corporate clients. With Nokia’s innovative solutions, we are enhancing our network capabilities to meet the increasing demand for high-speed internet services now and in the future.”

Additionally, Nokia will supply Lightspan DF-16GM Optical Line Terminals (OLTs) and dual-band Optical Network Terminals (ONTs), supported by the Altiplano Access Platform. The upgrade will also enhance Ishan Technologies’ core and transport networks in Mumbai and Chennai with the implementation of 7250 IXR routers, 7750 BNG with Carrier-Grade Network Address Translation (CGNAT) capabilities, a Network Service Platform (NSP), and 7220 IXR Data Centre Fabric platforms.

Jivitesh Nayal, Head of Emerging Business for Network Infrastructure at Nokia India, commented, “We are excited to provide our high-capacity, silicon-based 7750 BNG, 400G-ready transport routers, Data Centre Fabric, and NSP to establish a robust, high-uptime network. Nokia’s comprehensive SDAN solution is revolutionizing the operational methods of service providers. With our cloud-optimized platform, service providers can unlock new possibilities and adapt to the changing requirements of India’s digital economy.”
